A Crisis of faith

Christmas fast approaches and I’m having a crisis of faith.

My problem is I’m unsure if I should be calling myself a technomancer or a technopagan.

Lets review the options:
(anything in italics I’ve added as my comments
The Technomancer (source: here)

Like druids, but with tech instead of nature. Technomancers are more than just skilled technicians. They are in tune with machines, connecting with them not only on an intellectual but a spiritual level.

Check, this is what has been referred to as my “Make it better field”, my uncanny ability to fix most computer related problems by entering the room

Note: A “machine”, for purposes of the technomancer, is any electronic system. A technomancer does not necessarily have any mechanical or structural engineering abilities or knowledge. But “electrical and electronic systems, computers, and artificial intelligences” is one hell of an awkward phrase.

Enough people know me well enough to recognise this meaning whenever i say “Machine”

Class Skills: Machine Empathy (Cha, exclusive skill), Engineering, Knowledge: Any Tech Related, Computer Hacking, Sabotage Starship/Vehicle, Concentration, Craft, Diplomacy, Handle Machine, Profession, Net Search (Int, exclusive skill), Spellcraft, Tech Lore (Wis)

Again I seem to fit the bill with all of those!

After checking on technopagns, it seems that most of them are just a branch off the wiccan crowd, so screw those hippies! With out all the pollution and coal burning we’d never have computers!

“Any relationship between technology and spirituality is constructed by Hippies from the past who now wish to cover-up the guilt of their present relationship to Capitalism.”

Florian Rötzer

That still leaves Technoshamanism to investigate, but that is an exorcise for the reader and the author.

Beer me!

And I just noticed I posted this on the solstice, guess that does rule out the technopagan since I’ve not prepared for it.
